Hello family, friends, and patrons! It has been a busy time since I shared the last blog post. We have been on the road a lot and working on various projects. I wanted to take a few minutes to give some updates and fill you in with what is going on in our neck of the woods. After my kids, Willow and Henry finished school for the 2023-2024 school year, we embarked on a three week road trip to WV, PA, VA & NC to visit family and friends. Along the way, we photographed a wedding in VA and a vowel renewal ceremony in PA. It was a great trip to see everyone and get some great photos along the way.
Shortly after returning from our long road trip, Angela and I had the pleasure of taking a trip to Portugal. What an enchanting place to spend time. We spent a total of seven days there and we wish we had more time to tour around as one week just wasn’t enough. We spent most of our time in the town of Nazaré, which is known for their monster waves during the winter time, getting as high as 90 feet. It was such an awesome area, the food was amazing, the people were so kind, and the views were to die for. While staying in that region, we also ventured down to Peniche and took a ferry out to the Berlengas Islands and spent a night in Lisbon. We met some pretty incredible people along the way and I was able to capture some amazing photos and videos of our experiences. A visit to Portugal should be added to everyone’s destination Bucket list.
Now that we are back and settled, I am excited to dig back into further expansion of Southern Edge Studios. I am currently collaborating with Shea Visuals on a partnership opportunity to expand my offering of wedding photography services. I also added professional headshot services to my website (in studio or at the location of your choice). Additionally, I am collaborating with additional business owners to add my prints in their offices. I already have my prints up at Exit 1 Realty, Amelia Surf Company, Coastal Chiropractic and most recently added it to the Atlantic Hair Studio. This offers customers of those locations the option to scan a QR Code to purchase my prints and have them shipped to their home free of charge.
